C.L.I.P.S
Christian Living Insights Purposefully Stated
C.L.I.P.S are short vignettes that will play between television show segments on Alpha Omega Network. They are :15, :30, :45, 60, or 90 seconds in length. C.L.I.P.S are set in-between television segments; similar to advertisements.
All C.L.I.P.S (Christian Living Insights Purposefully Stated) producers are challenged to take the Word of God out of the pages of the Bible and into modern life circumstances.
C.L.I.P.S can be about any topic that illuminates the truth in God's Word or further moves people toward the truth. These whimsical, dramatic, serious, thought-provoking, funny, outlandish, and insightful scenarios should point people to a more attentive and intentional way to live.
Scriptural Guidelines
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29
“Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.” Ephesians 5:4
Suggestions for C.L.I.P.S include the following:
Encourage behaviors, such as ways to honor your body, love your neighbor, seek peace in relationships, pray for one another, stand for life, promote virtue, and model decency, etc…
Connect with viewers' cultural awareness, memories, concepts and language; explaining the consequences of using media in place of real relationships, being too busy, skipping dinner with family, making sarcasm a way of regular communication, etc…
Unite and invite Believers to stand for truth and justice; visiting the sick, feeding the poor, praying for people in their circumstances, visiting the prisoner, sharing the Gospel, etc…

If a picture is worth a thousand words, than a moving picture is worth a million words. We, as Christ Followers, are all moving pictures. C.L.I.P.S take the pictures of who we are naturally and extends them out to who we become in Christ.
Christian Living Insights Purposefully Stated (C.L.I.P.S) are little vignettes that will play between television shows on Alpha Omega Network. Clips are 15, 30, 60 seconds in length. C.L.I.P.S take the Word of God off the pages of the Bible. Some C.L.I.P.S are dramatic, some are funny, and they are all insightful.
Few things capture the heart like a well told story. A C.L.I.P.S producer is challenged to take the Word of God off of the pages of the Bible and create dramatic, funny, serious, and/or insightful scenarios that help all people put the Word of God into practice on an everyday basis.
Suggestions on How to Create Successful C.L.I.P.S
- Connect with the viewers knowledge based memories, concepts and language (nothing vulgar) like Sunday School, acts of kindness, Mother's Day.
- Arouse emotional based memories by helping them to recall moments of truth or self-reflection.
- Stimulate learned behaviors, such as how to loving your neighbor, seeking peace, and standing for truth, and discerning the Holy Spirit as well as our five senses to know.
